Bouncing Back, Being Well & Bouncing Forward
Resilience Workshop
For children aged 7 - 12
Resilience is the ability to overcome challenge, setback, adversity and failure and keep moving forward. In other words, to cope with the ups and downs of life.
There isn’t a single gene or personality characteristic that means some children are resilient and some are not. All children can learn resilience skills.
Why is resilience so important?
Children who have resilience skills are more curious and brave. They can handle stress and will push themselves outside their comfort zones and towards their goals. They are less afraid of failure and of making mistakes and know that failure = learning. They can problem-solve, be more Independent and work on their own initiative. They are more able to see the bigger picture and see the funny side of life.
Our engaging, fun and challenging Resilience Workshop has been written specifically for children aged 7 - 12 and covers three main areas:
Bouncing back: learning how to anticipate and recover from setbacks, mistakes, failures, and disappointment.
Being well: learning about the importance of their mental health and wellbeing and how they can look after them.
Bouncing Forward: learning to not just bounce back but bounce forward and grow.
